Responsible for preparing and executing the operation of the automated production control system (APC) for live and taped television and digital platform broadcasts. Build rundowns (automated or non-automated) for all broadcasts, PSA’s, commercials, etc. Operates control room computer and automation, which includes the creation and utilization of templates to automate production functions including: technical directing, audio mixing, robotics operations, commercial integration, live/remote segment cut-ins, video file playback, graphics insertion and switching.

The creative individual will have a passion for news and video production and will be responsible for writing, producing and editing breakthrough multi-platform promos. This position reports to the NBC6 Promotions Manager.

WTVJ is seeking a strong journalist with a passion for news to put an emphasis on content when producing for multiple platforms. On broadcast, you’ll be able to hone and show off your producing skills while maximizing video and graphics on our beautiful set. On other platforms, you’ll be able to help shape the brand we present. You’ll need to line produce, write, copyedit, edit video, gather content and produce elements all under heavy deadline pressure, without compromising accuracy and credibility.
