OVERVIEW The Senior News Desk Producer will be responsible for securing first or exclusive interviews with newsmakers and market movers. You will play a key role in building and strengthening media relations with key institutions in global financial markets and international business community, with a focus on Asia Pacific. You will also work with Supervising producers and producers in the newsroom in developing program segments and assignments based on CNBC’s editorial priorities.

As a reporter you will work closely with news management gathering daily content in New Haven, Connecticut, and the southeastern corner of the state with a focus on the shoreline. You will gather, write, produce, and report content on all of NBC Connecticut’s platforms, including but not limited to broadcast, streaming, and web. Essential Functions Generate story ideas, research, and set up the content and interviews, produce the content in the field, write and voice the story, and present the story live as scheduled on a designated newscast.
