Business Director, China

Purpose: The Business Director, China is a key sales leadership role within the APAC Global Sales team. they will be responsible for the delivery of the team’s assigned advertising sales target for NBCU and partner platforms. This will involve managing and driving their direct reports to hit their objectives as well as directly contributing to the team’s revenue delivery through their own network of senior contacts. The Business Director for China will also demonstrate leadership through the development of the strategic roadmap for success in China, sharing market intelligence, taking ownership of the briefing and ideation process with internal teams to create campaign winning solutions, owning key client and agency relationships from pitch to delivery. The role will be based in either Shanghai or Beijing, with frequent travel across China and other locations as required. Role Responsibilities You will lead China Agency & Client Partnerships team to deliver revenue in line with annual targets Meet & exceed specified quarterly & annual revenue goals across NBCUniversal O&O as well as partner platforms You will drive awareness and understanding of NBCU’s leading News, Sport and Entertainment platforms amongst client and agency decision makers in China Evangelize the power and influence of NBCU’s partnership solutions Monetisation of the full suite of NBCU’s One Platform, encompassing ad inventory, events, IP, talent and data solutions Develop and implement strategic market plans to achieve the sales targets Consistently service client and agency relationships such that NBCU is top of mind Demonstrate HQ influence with key Global clients based in China to ensure maximum revenues are transacted internationally You will maintain and grow revenues from core sectors – government, state-owned, travel, consumer electronics, etc Business development across emerging categories – gaming, luxury, EVs, apparel, beauty, etc Identify and develop new client sectors and advertising categories to drive revenue growth and market share for NBCU platforms. Consistently deliver executional excellence, digital innovation and exceptional client servicing Team management: Coach, mentor and develop team members to deliver individual revenue targets Undertake accurate and timely revenue forecasting and reporting as required for NBCU Management Build and maintain trusted and collaborative relationships across the NBCU Global team You will manage and limit cost of sale expenditure in client packages You will embody the NBCU values and act as brand ambassador across market portfolio And other duties as assigned
