NBC & Telemundo Connecticut Internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry. Internships at NBC & Telemundo Connecticut are paid and do not require course credit. Pay rate is minimum wage. NBC Connecticut is looking for a team player to work with our Producers. As a Producer intern you will work side-by-side with our team to learn and contribute with the following: Participate in daily planning meetings. Contribute ideas for news programming based on the NBC Connecticut News Strategy. Be present in control room during news program to observe communication among the producer, director and production personnel. Use website and social media tools to monitor and report news, find sources and leads for stories. Monitor mainstream and social media sites for story ideas and competitive intelligence. Write assigned segments, which may include digital newscasts Help our special unit research legislation Work on our weekly political program, "Face the Facts" To Apply: Submit a one-page resume that outlines your work experience, accomplishments, and your graduation month and year.
